Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in kitchen or cleaning role beneficial
- ability to work alone and in a team environment with minimum supervision
- reliable and punctual
- ability to occasionally work extended, weekend, and/or evening hours
Job Qualifications
- Working knowledge of basic cleaning and sanitizing procedures
- ability to properly mix and use general cleaning products and related tools and equipment such as mops, broom, dishwasher, and garbage disposal
- ability to follow oral instructions
- ability to communicate effectively with residents and co-workers in a courteous and tactful manner
- sensitivity to professional ethics, gender, cultural diversities, and disabilities
Job Duties
- Wash dishes, pots/pans, and eating and cooking utensils after meals
- clear items from serving trays
- rinse off food and operate garbage disposal
- load and run dishwasher
- return items to proper storage areas
- prepare and set up beverages at serving area
- keep beverage area clean
- clean and sanitize kitchen and dining areas including emptying trash containers, washing storage areas, appliances, tables, chairs
- sweep and mop floors
- place purchased food and supplies in storage areas
- perform related duties as assigned
