Job Requirements
- Available for 9:30 am to 1:30 pm shift daily with ability to extend hours as needed
- ServSafe certification desired and allergen training required within one month of hire
- current physical exam
- proof of two MMRs and current TB test
- basic knowledge of food preparation and nutrition
- functionally literate and able to do simple arithmetic
- able to relate to adults and children
- able to respond immediately to any emergency situation
- physical ability to hear conversational voice with or without hearing aid
- ability to see and read newsprint with or without corrective lenses
- able to speak and be understood under normal circumstances
- able to lift and carry children and items up to 50 pounds
- use of arms, hands, legs, and feet with or without corrective devices to accomplish job tasks including evacuation
- reliable transportation for shopping groceries and kitchen items
Job Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and nutrition

- physical capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- ServSafe certification desired
- allergen training completed within one month of hire
Job Duties
- Clean up of morning breakfast and snack dishes
- return unused snack to proper storage
- take a head count for lunch
- prepare meals according to a menu in an appetizing and appealing fashion
- set up lunch trays with dishes and utensils needed for each classroom
- serve lunch at designated times to various classrooms providing serving utensils and enough food to prevent return trips
- collect trays from classrooms after eating
- wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, utensils, cups, and all items used in food preparation, air dry and put away prior to end of day
- store leftovers in covered, labeled containers in refrigerator or freezer, marking leftovers with the date
- maintain cleanliness of ovens, stovetops, dishwasher, refrigerators, cabinets, storage areas, and floors according to Health Department requirements
- sweep floors of debris, spray and wipe all countertops and stovetops with appropriate cleaning solutions
