SCHEELS is a premier sporting goods retailer in the United States, known for its extensive selection of world-class sports brands and exceptional customer service. With a focus on creating the ultimate shopping experience, SCHEELS stands out by offering not only the largest assortment of sporting goods but also unique attractions that engage customers and enhance their shopping journey. The company is passionate about empowering its associates through comprehensive product and business training, enabling them to become knowledgeable experts in their roles. SCHEELS promotes a culture of mentorship and continuous professional development, ensuring every team member has opportunities to grow and succeed within the company. This establishes SCHEELS as a leader in the industry, committed to exceeding customer expectations in every aspect of its operations.

The role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about food service, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and have a strong commitment to food safety and quality. Associates will perform duties including food preparation, maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the workspace, as well as managing cash and customer interactions with professionalism. The role involves following all state and local food safety regulations and adhering to company standards for product receipt, storage, and sanitation.

Beyond food preparation, associates in this position also play a key role in training new team members, ensuring smooth daily operations including side work and cleaning schedules, and maintaining a welcoming, professional environment for customers and coworkers. The job demands a strong team mentality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work varied hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Candidates must be comfortable performing basic math operations, reading and interpreting safety and operational documents, and utilizing effective communication with groups and individuals alike.

SCHEELS values a positive work culture where associates treat customers, coworkers, and business partners with respect, appreciation, and genuine friendliness. Punctuality, eagerness to learn, adaptability, and a sense of ownership over tasks are essential traits for success in this role. The company also has clear expectations regarding dress code and grooming to support a clean and welcoming environment. Physically, associates should be able to handle moderate exertion involving standing, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and other activities necessary for food preparation and service.

Overall, this position offers a dynamic and supportive environment for individuals seeking to merge their passion for food and customer service with a career at a respected sporting goods retailer. The company provides comprehensive training and professional development, making it an excellent opportunity for career growth and skills enhancement in the hospitality and retail sectors.
