The role of a Beverage Server at Courtland Grand Hotel is essential in delivering an exceptional guest experience. Working in a fast-paced environment, this position involves serving guests in a hospitable manner to ensure their satisfaction and positive experience at the hotel’s bars and food and beverage outlets. The Beverage Server is responsible for maintaining the proper setup of the bar, which includes requisitioning and stocking beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, and produce based on projections from the daily functions sheet. Fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables must be prepared and stored daily to maintain product quality. Greeting guests courteously and promoting menu offerings while mixing, garnishing, and presenting drinks according to standardized recipes with portion control is a key aspect of the job. Strict compliance with all state, federal, and corporate policies related to alcohol service is mandatory to ensure safety and legal adherence. The server will input orders through a point-of-sale system, handle cash transactions responsibly, and balance reports to maintain financial accountability. Additional responsibilities include securing and storing beverage and food inventory, locking up equipment, and ensuring a secure cash bank at the end of shifts. Regular attendance and the ability to perform other related duties as assigned are essential. This role requires excellent communication skills, basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, manual dexterity, and the ability to work long periods while standing.
