Job Description

Hobbs Brook Real Estate LLC is a pioneering leader in the commercial real estate sector, recognized for its innovative approach and commitment to sustainability. Established in 1952, the company has built a strong reputation for acquiring, developing, managing, and partnering with a variety of stakeholders to bring unique property visions to life. With a portfolio that emphasizes forward-thinking and environmentally conscious properties, Hobbs Brook Real Estate consistently strives to improve both the built environment and the communities it serves. As the real estate division of FM, Hobbs Brook Real Estate leverages extensive industry experience and organizational support to maintain its position as a market leader in commercial real estate.

This particular role is based at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center located in Norwood, MA, a vibrant hospitality venue owned by Hobbs Brook Real Estate LLC. The hotel environment offers an exciting and dynamic workplace supported by a strong organizational framework. Joining this team provides an excellent opportunity to work within a collaborative, high-energy environment at an award-winning hotel where employee contributions are highly valued and professional growth is actively encouraged. The bartending position at Four Points by Sheraton is a crucial part of the hotel’s service team, aiming to enhance guest experiences by delivering outstanding beverage service in accordance with state laws and company standards.

The bartender position at this property involves working the standard shift from 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM with flexible availability required on weekends and holidays to meet business demands. This role operates within a 24/7 hospitality environment, emphasizing the importance of teamwork, excellent customer service, and adherence to safety and regulatory guidelines. Selected candidates will undergo an on-site interview and bartending stage shift, allowing them to demonstrate their practical skills and engage directly with the team. This hands-on assessment ensures the candidate’s ability to perform the necessary duties effectively in a real work setting.

Bartenders are responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, both traditional and custom, following strict cost guidelines and Alcoholic Beverage Control codes. The position demands a strong understanding of customer interaction, beverage preparation, accurate financial transactions using POS systems like Micros Symphony, and maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment. Innovation is encouraged, as bartender candidates have the opportunity to develop new cocktail recipes that align with the hotel’s quality standards and guest preferences.

The role also requires handling challenging situations involving alcohol service responsibly, ensuring compliance with legal age verification, and safeguarding a positive guest experience. Organizational skills and attention to detail are critical for managing inventory, supply controls, and side work completion at the end of each shift to maintain operational efficiency. This position offers a competitive starting wage of $8.50 per hour plus tips, with guaranteed compliance to Massachusetts state minimum wage laws for tipped employees. Benefits include career development opportunities, free parking, free meals, and an employee discount at participating Marriott hotels, contingent on successful completion of required trainings.

Hobbs Brook Real Estate LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to building a diverse workforce and fostering an inclusive work environment. Working as a bartender at Four Points by Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center not only provides an exciting career path in hospitality but also offers a chance to be part of an organization dedicated to sustainability, innovation, and community improvement.
