Each suite is thoughtfully designed to create a warm and inviting atmosphere, making every stay memorable and comfortable for visitors. The role of Bartender at Hotel Contessa is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about delivering outstanding guest experiences in a refined hospitality setting. The bartender will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages while maintaining the bar's presentation and stock, ensuring all operations comply with state and federal regulations. This position is vital in creating a positive and memorable experience for guests through exceptional service, interaction, and attentiveness. The establishment offers numerous benefits including free training, complimentary lunch, free bus pass or parking, uniforms, and a friendly, engaging work environment. The employer also emphasizes diversity and inclusiveness and encourages all qualified candidates to apply, including veterans from the U.S. military.

Bartenders at Hotel Contessa play an essential role in guest satisfaction by greeting customers warmly, mixing and garnishing drinks accurately according to standard recipes, and managing transactions efficiently. They ensure that all garnishes and perishable items are fresh and properly stored, consistently maintaining the bar’s readiness. Attention to detail and adherence to prudential portion controls are crucial, as is the ability to communicate effectively with guests and coworkers alike. The position requires manual dexterity, basic math skills for handling cash and registering orders, and the physical stamina to stand and work in confined spaces for extended periods. Hotel Contessa supports reasonable accommodations to enable bartenders to perform their duties effectively. This role does not include discretionary performance bonuses or tips, highlighting an equitable wage structure.

Overall, Hotel Contessa offers a dynamic workplace for those looking to thrive in the hospitality sector while contributing to an exceptional guest experience on one of San Antonio’s most scenic locations. With strong support for employee wellness that includes medical, dental, vision insurance, paid time off, pet insurance, life and disability coverage, and retirement savings plans, the establishment promotes a balanced and fulfilling professional journey.
