Kimpton Hotel Monaco Pittsburgh is a distinguished boutique hotel known for its unique blend of historic charm and contemporary hospitality. Located in the historic James H. Reed building, originally constructed in 1903, the hotel boasts 248 rooms that combine old-world architecture with bold and whimsical interiors. As a member of our team, the role you will play encompasses a range of vital functions aimed at enhancing the guest experience at our boutique hotel. The position involves greeting and welcoming guests to ensure they feel valued and comfortable from the moment they arrive. You will be responsible for maintaining service stations and tables, ensuring that every area is set up accurately and kept clean for optimal guest satisfaction. Additionally, your role will include assisting with restaurant dining services as needed to ensure smooth operations. Responsibilities extend to performing all necessary side work related to the bar, such as setup and breakdown, as well as adhering to grooming and uniform standards that reflect the professionalism of our hotel.
In this dynamic role, you will also manage the cleanliness and stocking of beverage areas, including trash removal, ice bin maintenance, and restocking of beer, wine, juice, and other beverages. Equipment maintenance is part of the responsibilities, requiring you to clean shelving, stainless steel, mixers, cups, blenders, and soda guns. You will handle delivery unpacking and stock management, which includes changing beer kegs. A crucial aspect of your duties is to monitor guest behavior to identify guests who may become intoxicated or disruptive and promptly notify management to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all patrons.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- At least one year of relevant experience
- Food handler certification if required
- Alcohol awareness certification if applicable
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
Job Qualifications
- One year of experience in a similar or supportive role preferred
- Food handler and alcohol awareness certification if applicable
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
- Ability to learn and present product, menu, and allergy information
- Knowledge or ability to learn restaurant point-of-sale systems
- Restaurant inventory and invoicing software proficiency preferred
- Hardworking with a passion for hospitality
- Flexible schedule including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Greet and welcome guests
- Check service stations and tables for accurate set-up and cleanliness
- Assist restaurant dining services when appropriate
- Perform side work including bar setup and breakdown
- Follow uniform and grooming specifications
- Clean and maintain bar area including trash cans, ice bins, and beverage stock
