The role of the Barback at Hyatt Place Pena Station DIA is integral to the smooth operation of the bar services and ultimately contributes significantly to customer satisfaction. This part-time position offers an hourly pay rate of $19.29 and reports directly to the Bar Manager. The Barback’s primary responsibility is to support the bartenders by ensuring that the bar area is fully stocked, clean, and organized at all times. This includes replenishing liquor, mixers, glassware, and garnishes to facilitate efficient service during busy periods.

In addition to stocking and maintaining the bar's aesthetic and functional quality, the Barback plays a crucial role in assisting with beverage preparation and responding promptly to bartender requests. This role demands a proactive approach, fine attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Physical stamina is also essential, as the job involves frequent standing, walking, and the ability to lift weights up to 50 pounds. Job Duties

  • Assist bartenders by restocking all bar supplies, including liquor, mixers, and glassware
  • maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including wiping down surfaces and washing bar tools and equipment
  • prepare garnishes and ensure they are fresh and readily available for bartenders
  • keep ice bins stocked and assist with beverage preparation during peak hours
  • remove and dispose of trash and empty bottles as needed throughout the shift
  • ensure all beverage storage areas are well-organized and properly stocked
  • assist with setting up and breaking down the bar for service
  • monitor inventory levels and report any shortages to the Bar Manager or Supervisor
  • respond to bartender requests quickly and efficiently to ensure uninterrupted service
