Job Description
First Bank is a well-established financial institution known for its commitment to delivering outstanding banking services to individuals and businesses across its operation regions. As a community-oriented bank, First Bank emphasizes providing personalized customer service while offering a full range of banking products including savings and checking accounts, loans, mortgages, and digital banking solutions. The institution prides itself on fostering a welcoming and supportive environment for both clients and employees, ensuring that banking needs are met with reliability and professionalism.
The role of Bank Teller/Universal Banker at the First Bank Graham Road Branch is a part-time opportunity designed for individuals who enjoy working in a dynamic customer-facing environment and who excel in relationship building and service delivery. This position, internally titled Banking Specialist I, integrates traditional teller responsibilities with client relationship management and referral activities. In this hybrid role, you will be the first point of contact to customers entering the branch, processing a variety of banking transactions accurately and efficiently including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and loan payments. You will also be responsible for balancing cash drawers, ATM, and vault assignments, while maintaining strict compliance with banking regulations, audit standards, and security protocols.
More importantly, this role requires a proactive approach to client engagement. As a Universal Banker, you will build meaningful relationships through active listening and understanding clients’ financial needs, allowing you to identify potential opportunities for referrals to other banking products and services that can enhance the client’s banking experience. You will play an essential role in supporting branch goals by contributing to referral generation, client engagement, and fostering a client-focused, team-oriented culture within the branch.
Additionally, in the realm of digital banking, you will educate clients on the use of online banking platforms, mobile apps, debit cards, and other digital tools. Encouraging clients to adopt self-service options supports their convenience and satisfaction while reducing transactional burden on branch staff. The ability to navigate digital banking questions and provide straightforward guidance is vital in ensuring customers feel confident and supported in using technology to manage their finances.
The part-time schedule includes Monday from 9 AM to 5 PM, Thursday from 11 AM to 5 PM, and Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM. Compensation for this role ranges from $15.50 to $19.00 per hour, based on experience, skill set, geographic location, and other factors. First Bank offers a stable work environment with opportunities to develop skills in retail banking and customer service, making this position ideal for individuals looking to build a career in the financial services industry or enhance their current expertise.
