Job Description

Grand Living is revolutionizing senior hospitality by creating exceptional and distinctive senior living communities that embody luxury, comfort, and personalized service. With its rapidly growing reputation as an iconic brand, Grand Living focuses on building remarkable residences that combine stunning décor, sophisticated design, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere for its residents. Their communities emphasize gracious living spaces that not only cater to assisted living, independent living, and memory care but also foster a supportive and engaging environment. From the moment residents and guests enter Grand Living communities, they encounter an experience defined by genuine care and unparalleled service from a dedicated team committed to enhancing the quality of life for seniors.

The role of Activities Assistant (FACETS Assistant) at Grand Living is pivotal in enriching the lives of residents. This full-time position involves working primarily from 10am to 6pm on weekdays with some flexibility for weekend hours in various settings including assisted living, independent living, and memory care areas. The Activities Assistant is responsible for implementing and enhancing Grand Living’s proprietary FACETS® program, which centers on life-enriching experiences that promote wellness in five key dimensions: socialization, health and wellness, lifelong learning, legacy, and spirituality. The program presents a holistic approach to elder care, offering diverse activities such as theater, art, music, fitness, educational sessions, event planning, and recreational opportunities, which contribute directly to residents’ happiness, engagement, and overall well-being.

This position requires a person who embodies the Sterling Touch®—a style of interaction marked by friendliness, professionalism, courtesy, and timeliness. The Activities Assistant strives to deliver Each Resident’s experience to a high standard of personal satisfaction by engaging thoughtfully in all interactions. Reporting directly to the Director of FACETS®, the Assistant adheres to established community standards, processes, and philosophy to ensure a consistently high level of service quality.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and preferably at least one year of experience in organizing, coordinating, or leading activities and events. They must be proficient in English communication and show a willingness and ability to participate actively in a diverse and wellness-centered program tailored for an educated and sophisticated resident community. Physical requirements include the ability to stand and move continuously for extended periods, climb stairs, bend, lift up to 20 pounds, and perform other physical activities needed to deliver a dynamic schedule of resident engagement.

Grand Living offers competitive compensation and an inclusive benefits package that supports the health and well-being of its full-time employees. Among the benefits are generous paid time off starting at 120 hours annually and increasing with service, affordable medical, dental, and vision insurance options, a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching, and life and disability insurance coverage. Employees also enjoy exclusive amenities such as gourmet cuisine with free meals subject to eligibility, access to spa and fitness facilities, and a robust employee assistance program. Grand Living is committed to creating an inclusive workplace that celebrates diversity and provides a nurturing environment in which every team member can thrive. Their mantra, "Your Life. Uniquely Embraced.", highlights the company’s dedication to valuing each individual's uniqueness while delivering unmatched senior care.
