The Seasonal Valet Parker position is an integral part of the Guest Services - Valet department. Reporting directly to the Director of Front Office Operations, this role is designed for individuals passionate about hospitality and customer service who want to contribute to creating a seamless guest experience from the moment of arrival. As a Seasonal Valet Parker, you will be responsible for assisting guests and outlet patrons with valet parking services, providing directions for self-parking, and upholding the highest standards of safety and professionalism. This position is seasonal, running from May through September, offering an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team in one of Boston's most prestigious hotels.

The role requires more than just driving skills; it demands a thorough knowledge of the local area and a strong commitment to guest service excellence. Valet Parkers will inspect vehicles carefully before taking possession, communicate clearly about valet rates, and respond promptly and professionally to all guest needs. They must maintain a clean, orderly work environment and help maintain the welcoming atmosphere of the lobby entrance vestibule. The ability to work well within a team and assist other staff such as door and bell personnel when necessary is also essential.

Candidates must hold a valid state driver's license with a clean driving record and ideally have experience driving manual transmission vehicles. Previous guest services experience is highly preferred, as is the ability to communicate effectively in English; additional language skills are considered an asset. Job Duties

  • Inspect each vehicle before taking possession and mark tickets of findings
  • inform customers of valet rate
  • report any known accidents or unusual occurrences to the Manager
  • have thorough knowledge of major streets and landmarks to provide directions
  • observe all traffic laws and safe driving practices
  • ensure prompt professional response to guest requests
  • assist door and bell staff as requested
  • open doors for guests entering and exiting
  • maintain lobby entrance vestibule cleanliness
  • acknowledge approaching guests warmly
  • operate both standard and automatic vehicles
  • maintain safe, clean, orderly work area
  • complete other assignments as directed
