The company is currently seeking full-time Paramedics to join their growing team. This role comes with a limited-time sign-on bonus of up to $30,000, dependent on experience, contingent upon a two-year commitment. As a Paramedic with Maricopa Ambulance, you will provide advanced life support (ALS) emergency medical care to patients in both emergency and non-emergency settings. Your responsibilities will include patient assessment, treatment, stabilization, and transportation in accordance with Arizona Department of Health Services regulations, local medical protocols, state law, and company policies. This Non-exempt/Hourly position demands a high level of operational readiness, safety awareness, and professionalism.

Paramedics at Maricopa Ambulance are essential members of the emergency response team, providing critical patient-centered care during 911 emergencies, interfacility transports, disaster response events, and public safety standby assignments. Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Current Arizona Paramedic certification or eligibility for Arizona reciprocity
Current National Registry certification preferred
Current AHA BLS certification
Current AHA ACLS certification
Current Arizona driver's license or ability to obtain
Acceptable motor vehicle record consistent with company insurance requirements
Successful completion of background screening and drug testing

Job Qualifications

PHTLS, ITLS, or equivalent trauma certification preferred
Incident Command System (ICS 100, 200, 700) preferred
Prior 911 and interfacility transport experience preferred
Advanced patient assessment skills preferred
Clinical decision-making and critical thinking preferred
Effective verbal and written communication preferred
Ability to remain calm during emergencies preferred
Ability to work independently and as part of a team preferred
Knowledge of Arizona EMS regulations and protocols preferred
Strong customer service and patient advocacy skills preferred
Ability to operate technology, radios, tablets, and electronic patient care reporting systems preferred

Job Duties

Assess, treat, monitor, and transport patients requiring emergency and non-emergency medical care
Administer advanced life support interventions in accordance with medical protocols and physician direction
Provide patient care at emergency scenes, healthcare facilities, public venues, private residences, and during transport
Maintain accurate and complete patient care documentation
Transfer patient care responsibility to receiving healthcare providers through verbal and written reports
Serve as team leader on ALS responses when appropriate
Safely operate emergency and non-emergency vehicles following Arizona law and company policy
Utilize defensive driving techniques and maintain awareness of roadway hazards
Maintain familiarity with service area geography, healthcare facilities, roadways, and community resources
Conduct pre-shift and post-shift vehicle inspections
Inspect, clean, disinfect, restock, and maintain assigned vehicles and medical equipment
Report mechanical, safety, and equipment deficiencies promptly
Ensure medications and controlled substances are secured and accounted for
Complete electronic patient care reports and operational documentation accurately and timely
Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and all applicable privacy regulations
Adhere to infection control standards, exposure control plans, and universal precautions
Participate in quality improvement, compliance, and patient safety initiatives
Maintain professional appearance and demeanor
Interact respectfully with patients, families, healthcare professionals, public safety agencies, and community stakeholders
Participate in training, continuing education, and certification maintenance
Perform public relations, community outreach, and education activities as assigned
Participate in special event coverage, disaster response, mass casualty incidents, and emergency preparedness activities
Perform additional duties as assigned
