We are currently seeking an experienced Line Cook to join Pietro's team. This position involves preparing and cooking a variety of dishes that meet the establishment's high standards of quality and presentation. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for ensuring that all food ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and cooked at the right temperatures to guarantee safety and taste. You will carefully follow recipes to season and cook meals while adhering to portion sizes and presentation guidelines that contribute to an exceptional dining experience. In addition, maintaining clean and sanitary workstations and assisting with food preparation during less busy times is essential. Closing kitchen duties including following the closing checklist and supporting the overall kitchen operation will also be part of this role.

Job Duties

  • Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock
  • Ensure food is stored and cooked at the correct temperature by regulating the temperature of ovens, grills, etc
  • Season and cook food according to recipes
  • Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area
  • Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes
  • Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed
  • Closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or manager-on-duty
