The Overnight Valet Parking Attendant role at The Mutiny Hotel is an essential position focused on ensuring a safe, efficient, and smooth parking experience for all guests during the overnight hours. This full-time position works the overnight shift, typically from 11pm to 7am, with shifts that may vary and include weekends. Earning $14 per hour plus tips, the successful candidate will play a critical role in creating positive first and last impressions through courteous, timely, and professional interactions.

In this position, the valet attendant coordinates the entire valet service process, which includes greeting guests upon arrival, handling keys and tickets using both manual and electronic methods, and ensuring accurate vehicle tracking and placement to maximize operational efficiency. Attention to detail is crucial, especially when conducting vehicle inspections for pre-existing damage and documenting those observations accurately. Safety is paramount, requiring the valet to direct traffic, monitor ramp and parking areas, set up barricades, and respond swiftly to any incidents or accidents.

The role demands excellent customer service and communication skills, as the valet will be a brand ambassador who opens doors, assists with luggage, and responds to guest inquiries with professionalism and grace. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record
  • Must successfully pass background check as per company policy
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and provide valid documentation
  • Ability to walk or run during entire shift
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work overnight shifts and weekends
  • Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Coordinate full valet service process from arrival to departure including greeting guests retrieving keys issuing tickets and entering customer information
  • Park and retrieve guest vehicles safely and efficiently ensuring proper vehicle placement and accurate tracking
  • Inspect vehicles for pre-existing damage and document findings
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by building rapport responding promptly to inquiries and providing directions or assistance
  • Act as a professional brand ambassador by courteously interacting with guests opening vehicle doors and assisting with luggage
  • Maintain vehicle safety and security by directing traffic positioning barricades monitoring areas and arranging towing services
  • Request collect and process applicable valet fees and assist with reconciling end-of-shift revenue and ticket distribution
  • Retrieve vehicles promptly for waiting guests and assist with luggage or personal items
  • Report incidents accidents or claims immediately to Operations Manager or Shift Lead
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with guests clients supervisors and teammates
