The company emphasizes a culture of respect, inclusion, and integrity, striving to create a workplace where associates feel valued and supported. Walmart’s mission extends beyond retail; it focuses on sustainable practices and positively impacting communities through initiatives that promote belonging, reduce waste, and engage in local giving.
This particular role is a Store Manager position located at 4424 W Wendover Ave, Greensboro, NC. It offers an annual salary range of $65,000 - $100,000, with additional performance-based bonuses and potential pay differentials based on geographic and other factors. The role emphasizes leadership, operational excellence, and customer service quality. The Store Manager is responsible for leading the store team by teaching, training, and listening actively to associates while touring the store and providing constructive feedback. The Store Manager plays a crucial role in communicating company strategies and business initiatives, driving change effectively, and ensuring that store operations align with Walmart’s standards across merchandising, technology, and customer engagement.
The position demands a focus on exceptional customer service, managing service initiatives such as community outreach, resolving complaints, and improving processes to enhance the shopping experience. Financial oversight is also key, with responsibilities for analyzing profit and loss, budgeting, forecasting, controlling expenses, and achieving sales and profit targets through inventory and merchandise management. Hiring, training, mentoring, and developing hourly associates form a significant part of the role to build a strong, engaged team. This position expects the manager to foster an inclusive workplace culture where associates feel connected and can thrive.
Additionally, the Store Manager oversees compliance with company policies and ethical standards, promoting integrity and accountability. The role involves building effective relationships with stakeholders, supporting business plans, and driving continuous improvement and adaptability in a dynamic retail environment. Walmart supports this position with comprehensive benefits including health (medical, vision, dental), financial (401(k), stock purchase, life insurance), paid time off, parental and family care leaves, disability insurance, company discounts, and educational opportunities through Walmart’s Live Better U program. This program offers tuition-free pathways ranging from high school completion to bachelor’s degrees and short-form certificates.
Overall, this is a challenging and rewarding leadership role ideal for candidates with retail and supervisory experience who are passionate about driving results, developing talent, and providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced retail setting.
