Job Description

ResCare Community Living, a part of the Sevita family, is a respected leader in providing quality services that empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Established in 1974, ResCare has a long history of supporting individuals to live more independently in their homes and communities. The organization is dedicated to person-centered services that focus on skill-building, overcoming challenges, and helping individuals reach their full potential. Sevita, the parent company of ResCare Community Living, is a leading provider of home and community-based specialized health care with over 40,000 team members serving about 50,000 individuals across the United States. Their mission is to help people lead full, independent lives regardless of their physical, intellectual, or behavioral challenges. As an equal opportunity employer, Sevita values diversity and inclusiveness, ensuring a respectful workplace free from discrimination of any kind.

This role is a caregiver position offering a pay rate of $9 per hour. This part-time or full-time position involves supporting individuals with developmental disabilities through hands-on care and personal assistance. As a caregiver at Sevita, you will experience the fulfillment of meaningful work helping people grow and thrive. Daily tasks include assisting with personal hygiene, supporting behavioral challenges, and helping participants engage in community activities. You will have the opportunity to build strong relationships and trust with those you serve while making a positive impact on their lives. Sevita emphasizes trust and ownership from its leaders, encouraging caregivers to take initiative in promoting participant independence and inclusion. The role also involves supporting participants with developmental goals related to budgeting, exercise, and nutrition. Sevita invests in learning and development, providing tools and training to help employees succeed in their fulfilling careers.

Caregivers at Sevita benefit from competitive pay with Pay on Demand, a full benefits package available for full-time employees including a 401(k) plan with a 3% company match, paid time off, holiday pay, and a supportive network of supervisors who prioritize both participant and employee wellbeing. Job security is a key advantage due to the stability and growth of the company. Sevita’s values align with patient, compassionate, and responsible caregiving, creating a workplace culture that embraces adaptability, teamwork, and communication skills. If you have a high school diploma or equivalent, some experience in human services or direct care, and a valid driver’s license with access to a registered vehicle, this role offers a meaningful career path where every day is focused on helping people live well and achieve their potential.
