Job Description
The hiring establishment is a busy stadium venue located in Boston, MA, renowned for hosting various sporting events and large-scale entertainment gatherings. This stadium is a landmark for thousands of community members and visitors, creating memorable experiences through events held throughout the season. Maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment is a top priority to ensure all guests and attendees enjoy their time comfortably. The stadium operates at a fast pace, especially during event days, requiring dedicated and reliable team members willing to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
This opportunity is for the Overnight Cleaning Crew, a critical role tasked with upholding cleanliness and readiness in the stadium's seating areas, also known as the "bowl," and throughout the entire ballpark. The role requires working overnight shifts, including weekends and event nights, to ensure that the ballpark is meticulously cleaned and reset for upcoming events. Responsibilities include performing bowl picking, which involves cleaning seating areas, aisles, and rows, as well as removing trash and debris scattered throughout the stadium. Deep cleaning high-traffic areas is also central to the role, involving the use of basic cleaning tools and equipment such as brooms and trash bags. This position demands adherence to safety and cleanliness standards to maintain a high-quality environment.
Working efficiently as part of a team is essential to meet the tight turnaround times between events. The position is offered on a full-time, contract basis and pays $18.00 per hour. Prospective team members must possess a strong work ethic, reliability, and be able to adapt to operating in a large stadium environment. Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, and the ability to lift between 25 to 50 pounds. Experience in cleaning or working in stadiums or events is considered an advantage but is not strictly required. Additionally, applicants need to have their own car to travel to multiple locations across the city during their shifts.
This is an excellent all-season opportunity for individuals seeking consistent employment in an engaging environment. The work location is in person, in Boston, Massachusetts. Candidates are expected to be able to commute or relocate to Boston before starting work, demonstrating a commitment to the role. Team members will play an instrumental part in the stadium's operational success by helping maintain its cleanliness and overall guest experience. This role fits individuals who thrive in physical work, enjoy teamwork, and have a dedication to maintaining public spaces in peak condition.
