The specialist is primarily responsible for creating, maintaining, and expanding business and community partnerships to generate employment opportunities for program participants. By conducting outreach to employers and community stakeholders, the specialist facilitates a robust job flow into Goodwill’s resource centers and offices. They are instrumental in bringing innovative placement strategies to the table by researching best practices in the field and applying them to local initiatives.
In this role, the specialist manages a dynamic caseload, preparing clients for employment readiness, helping them overcome barriers through community referrals, and tracking their progress through retention checks at 30, 60, and 90 days post-employment. The position emphasizes communication, requiring the specialist to consistently update job orders and leads in CaseWorthy, the organization’s case management system, and document all client and employer interactions in a timely and accurate manner. The role demands a proactive approach, including making a minimum of 20 calls weekly, generating job orders, conducting employer visits, and meeting monthly job placement goals.
Candidates for this role must be excellent communicators and self-starters with a strong ability to collaborate across various teams. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and standard computing systems is essential, and bilingual skills are considered a plus. Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Outreach and identify best practices in the field and incorporate new ideas into partnership and placement opportunities
- contact prospective employers to explain placement services and solicit employment opportunities
- facilitate new community relationships to create client flow into the resource center or Goodwill offices
- develop business and community partnerships to generate job leads and openings
- communicate openings and partnerships to participants and team members
- obtain monthly job placement goals
- perform employer verification and retention calls at 30, 60, and 90 days
- maintain and update job leads and openings weekly
- update job orders and accounts in CaseWorthy and document activities within 24 hours
- manage assigned caseload including client employment readiness and barrier resolution
- safeguard company property and report any incidents
- perform other duties to support successful operation of the department and mission
