This role is for a 2nd shift Operations Supervisor, reporting directly to the Operations Manager. The position is pivotal in ensuring the smooth execution of events by supervising house crews during setup, breakdown, changes, and housekeeping duties. The Operations Supervisor oversees event and room setup teams, ensuring all activities adhere to company policies and safety standards, including government regulations and venue-specific certifications like VenueShield. This role requires hands-on leadership to maintain facility readiness and ensure high levels of customer service. The supervisor also enforces dress codes and grooming standards while coaching team members to sustain productivity and engagement. A key aspect of this job is working collaboratively with internal and external partners to execute department responsibilities efficiently without delays. The supervisor uses multiple computerized task management systems to track work completion and is responsible for conducting inspections to verify compliance with company and client standards. Understanding and applying Green/Sustainability Initiatives are essential to promote sustainable operations within the team.

Additional duties include completing maintenance and repair forms, performing landscaping and snow removal tasks, and responding to building automation and life safety alarms. The position requires adherence to all Legends Global safety policies and OSHA guidelines, particularly regarding safe chemical use. Supervisory responsibilities extend to hiring, training, appraising, rewarding, and disciplining staff in alignment with HR practices and legal requirements. The role demands excellent communication skills and the ability to interpret various types of instructions. Experience with maintenance procedures, hand and power tools, and the ability to operate equipment such as light trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, and boom lifts is required.

Candidates must demonstrate flexibility to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays across all Legends Global facilities in Wichita and Andover. A valid driver's license and the ability to pass a background check are required. The physical demands are substantial, including extensive walking, occasional kneeling, climbing, balancing, and lifting up to 75 pounds. This position is ideal for individuals with leadership experience in hospitality or a related industry who value safety, teamwork, and delivering superior event experiences.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years leadership or supervisory experience in a facility, preferably in hospitality or related industry

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Direct and oversee housekeeping and event/room setup of team members engaged in cleaning, setup, and breakdown of events within the facility
  • Follow and track preventive housekeeping and maintenance measures for non-mechanical aspects of the facility
  • Practice and enforce a safe and healthy working environment by enacting company policies and adhering to governmental guidelines
  • Anticipate problems and provide appropriate solutions, keeping operations management informed
  • Assure facility readiness and smooth operations of events for first class customer service
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external partners on efficient execution of department responsibilities
  • Utilize multiple computerized task management systems and ensure completion of assigned work
