The role focuses on delivering exceptional guest services and performing key front desk responsibilities to ensure smooth hotel operations. Duties include processing guest check-ins and check-outs, verifying reservations, assigning rooms, activating room keys, and handling walk-in guests by selling available rooms while ensuring rates comply with market standards. The position requires maintaining accurate shift reports, documenting employee shift logs and daily memos, and liaising with various departments such as bell staff and housekeeping to address guest requests or issues promptly. Being the initial point of contact, the role also involves upholding company standards in guest service, staff training assistance, performance evaluation, and fostering a positive work environment.
Candidates will engage in safety trainings and certifications, observe company policies and personal appearance standards, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Job Duties
- Complete assigned cashier reports and closing reports in the computer system
- review employee shift logs and daily memo books and document relevant information
- contact appropriate person or department such as bell staff or housekeeping to resolve guest calls, requests, or issues
- process all guest registrations by confirming reservations, verifying guest identity, requesting a form of payment, assigning rooms, and issuing and activating room keys
- sell rooms to guests without reservations based on availability while ensuring rates comply with market standards and exceptions are documented
- ensure accounts from different points of sale such as gym or retail shop are scanned and charged to room accounts
- assist management in training, evaluating, coaching, disciplining, motivating, and training employees
- serve as a role model and first point of contact for the fair treatment and open door policy
- report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions
- conduct safety trainings and obtain safety certifications
- comply with all company policies and procedures
- maintain a neat and professional appearance
- keep proprietary information confidential and protect company assets
- greet and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
