Job Description

Marriott International is a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, renowned for its commitment to excellence and exceptional guest experiences. With a diverse portfolio of over 1,000 locations worldwide, Marriott International continues to set the standard for quality and service in the hotel industry. Among its many distinguished brands, Fairfield by Marriott stands out by offering guests a beautifully simple stay characterized by warm hospitality and great value. Rooted in a family farm heritage, Fairfield by Marriott embodies a calming and reliable experience that travelers can trust, making it a preferred choice for both business and leisure stays.

This particular opportunity is with Fairfield by Marriott at their new hotel location in Perris, California. This full-time, non-management role centers around rooms and guest services operations for a new hotel opening, offering dynamic day and evening shift options. The position pays $18.75 per hour, providing stable compensation along with an engaging work environment where employees have the chance to interact with a diverse array of guests and team members. The location is not remote, requiring on-site presence to ensure guests receive attentive and personalized service.

The role is primarily focused on delivering a seamless and welcoming guest experience through efficient front desk and guest service operations. As a vital part of the hotel's team, the associate will manage guest check-ins by confirming reservations, verifying identity, processing payments, assigning rooms, and issuing room keys. The position also involves handling guest requests and resolving issues promptly by collaborating with other departments such as housekeeping and bell services. Additionally, the associate is responsible for reviewing shift logs, documenting important information, and ensuring that financial transactions from hotel outlets are accurately charged to guest rooms.

Beyond operational tasks, the associate plays an important role in supporting management through employee training, coaching, and ensuring adherence to a culture of fair treatment and open communication. The role requires attention to detail in maintaining safety standards, reporting hazards, and complying with company policies. Equally vital is the associate's role in representing the hotel’s brand by maintaining a professional appearance, delivering clear and courteous communication, and fostering positive relationships with guests and colleagues alike.

Ideal candidates will possess at least a high school diploma or GED equivalent and have a minimum of one year of related work experience, including supervisory responsibilities. While no specific licenses or certifications are required, prior experience in hospitality guest services will be highly valued. Marriott International emphasizes equal opportunity employment, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds and ensuring a workplace free from discrimination. By joining this team, you become part of a global family committed to service excellence and career growth within one of the most respected hospitality companies in the world.
