The Operations Material Handler role at Lonza’s Bend site is a vital position that supports the manufacturing teams by ensuring material availability, equipment readiness, and inventory compliance. This fully site-based position requires working closely in person with cross-functional teams to facilitate real-time collaboration, which is essential to maintaining stringent quality and safety standards during the production of medicines. In this role, the Operations Material Handler will be responsible for managing daily material handling tasks and inventory controls, ensuring that work areas are properly stocked, organized, and compliant with safety regulations. Responsibilities also include safely managing hazardous waste and bulk solvent processes, coordinating equipment transfers, maintaining detailed records and logbooks, and supporting facility maintenance activities.

This Operations Material Handler position operates on 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays, with a schedule from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday through Tuesday and every other Wednesday. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Experience with inventory control systems
  • Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or material handling environments
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Strong communication skills and collaboration skills

Job Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Experience with inventory control systems
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or material handling environments

Job Duties

  • Follow and maintain compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Support daily material handling and inventory control activities
