The Operations Manager at Front Desk is a vital management position within the hotel operations, specifically aligned with Rooms and Guest Services Operations. This full-time role is based at Residence Inn's location in Chicago, Illinois, and offers an hourly wage ranging from $28.35 to $37.50, with eligibility for bonuses. The Operations Manager plays a key role in supporting the execution and management of multiple hotel operational departments, including Front Office, Business Center, Recreation/Health Club, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage/Culinary, and Engineering/Maintenance. The primary focus of this role is to maximize guest and employee satisfaction while optimizing the financial performance of the departments under their oversight.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 4 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related field
- OR 2-year degree from accredited university in related major
- Minimum 2 years related work experience
- Ability to lead operational teams
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency in managing guest satisfaction
- Ability to perform scheduling duties
- Capability to conduct hiring and orientation processes
- Availability to work full time on site
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 4 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area
- OR 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field with 2 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to analyze guest satisfaction and financial reports
- Proficient in scheduling and workforce management
- Proven customer service excellence
- Familiarity with hotel operations and standards
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

Job Duties
- Ensure goals are translated to the team regarding guest tracking and productivity
- Understand employee and guest satisfaction results and communicate plans to address needs and build strengths
- Assist in ensuring team capabilities meet expectations
- Lead by example demonstrating self-confidence, energy, and enthusiasm
- Assist employees in understanding and exceeding guests' evolving needs and expectations
- Follow property-specific second effort and recovery plans
- Publish guest satisfaction results timely including forms, comment cards, and letters
- Take proactive approaches in addressing employee concerns
- Extend professionalism and courtesy to employees
- Communicate updates of goals and results with employees
- Meet semiannually with staff individually
- Assist and teach scheduling against guest and hours/occupied room goals
- Perform hourly job functions as needed
- Provide excellent customer service being available and approachable for guests
- Take proactive approaches to guest concerns
- Extend professionalism and courtesy to guests
- Respond timely to customer service requests
