The role of Operations Manager at Homewood Suites Corpus Christi, a Highgate-operated hotel located at 5201 Crosstown Expressway/SH 286, Corpus Christi, TX 78417, is a pivotal position designed to elevate the operational productivity and efficiency of the property. This role involves overseeing day-to-day hotel operations with a special focus on the front office, while also supporting additional departments such as Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and Engineering. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
- or a 2-year college degree and a minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a related field
- or a 4-year degree and a minimum of 1 year of progressive experience in a related field
- previous supervisory responsibilities
- proficiency in Windows, company-approved spreadsheets, and word processing
- ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with employees and guests
- capability to listen to, understand, and clarify concerns raised by employees and guests
- multitasking and prioritizing departmental functions to meet deadlines
- attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented approach in all encounters
- adherence to Highgate Hotel Standards including personal appearance and grooming

Job Duties
- Assist the Director and Assistant Director of Front Office with managing the Front Office operation
- provide support to other departments in the hotel such as Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and Engineering
- provide strong lobby presence to assist front desk agents and guests
- provide all aspects of shift coverage in Food & Beverage operations as needed
- balance the hotel room type inventory
- ensure all areas of the lobby, Mezzanine level, and Food & Beverage operations meet Paramount standards including cleanliness and signage
- monitor and action Nor 1 upsell program
- handle guests' special requests and customer complaints during shift
- perform all front desk duties and responsibilities
- investigate and handle complaints, disturbances, and emergencies during shift
- manage employee payroll, track attendance with ADP, time edits, and conduct call-arounds for overtime
- coach, train, counsel hourly associates, and administer discipline as needed
- perform some Night Audit functions and produce Night Audit reports
- prepare, copy, and distribute reports as required
- attend and contribute to periodic meetings to maintain favorable working relationships and promote productivity
- attend all hotel required meetings and trainings
- participate in Manager on Duty coverage as required
