Job Description

Our company is a well-established player in the transportation and logistics industry, dedicated to delivering exceptional service through efficient cargo handling and customer-focused operations. Known for our commitment to innovation and operational excellence, we specialize in cross-dock transportation management, ensuring seamless freight movement that supports both local and national supply chains. Our reputation is built on providing superior logistics solutions that meet the evolving needs of a wide range of clients, making us a trusted partner in the industry. We operate multiple facilities with a strong network that supports and sustains our operational goals and service quality.

As a Management Trainee in our Operations Management Trainee Program, you will embark on an intensive 16-week training journey designed to equip you with the foundational skills required for a leadership role in operations management. This entry-level position focuses on educating you in the core aspects of the transportation industry including advanced cross-dock operations, leadership communication, and relationship-building techniques under the mentorship of experienced leaders. The program is structured to impart knowledge through a combination of guided study, hands-on exposure, and practical experience in various operational scenarios.

Your training will include direct interactions with our Support Center and Service Center associates, allowing you to gain a comprehensive understanding of operational workflows and customer service dynamics. You will also shadow Account Managers during customer sales visits and accompany drivers to observe freight delivery processes firsthand, thereby broadening your perspective on logistics from multiple vantage points.

Upon successful completion of the training program, candidates are expected to relocate to a different facility where they will step into their first supervisory or leadership role. This transition underscores our commitment to career growth and offers an exciting opportunity to apply your newly acquired skills in a real-world operational setting. The position offers an attractive salary range between $50,000 and $77,000 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package tailored to support your professional and personal well-being. This role operates on a third-shift schedule and requires in-person presence, emphasizing hands-on leadership and operational involvement.

The Management Trainee Program is ideal for individuals with a Bachelor's Degree in Transportation or Logistics, or those possessing at least two years of relevant work experience in the field. Candidates must also hold an acceptable driving record in line with company standards and be willing to adapt to a flexible work environment with potential relocation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with effective listening abilities are essential, as well as a professional demeanor and strong work ethic. Basic computer proficiency is necessary to navigate internal systems and support decision-making processes effectively.

This is a unique opportunity for aspiring transportation and logistics professionals seeking to build a career in operations management. Our comprehensive training and support infrastructure is designed to accelerate your development and prepare you for leadership challenges in one of the most dynamic sectors of the economy.
