Job Description
We are partnering with a leading Recruiting Process Outsourcing (RPO) organization that is renowned for its innovative and efficient staffing solutions tailored to meet a wide range of industry needs. This organization excels at streamlining the recruitment lifecycle and delivering top-tier talent solutions to its clients, ensuring maximum operational efficiency and client satisfaction. As a trusted outsourcing partner, the company provides comprehensive workforce management services that include recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing operational oversight, making it a key player in the staffing and operations management sector. Their marquee client in Northern California operates multiple warehouse facilities and relies on this RPO for high standards in service and workforce management across several sites. The company prides itself on fostering a collaborative and forward-thinking environment where leadership and operational excellence combine to drive business success and growth.
The role available is for a Regional Director of Operations managing approximately 10 direct reports and overseeing a workforce of around 4,000 warehouse employees across 5 to 8 client sites in Northern California. This position requires occasional local travel between work locations and is pivotal in maintaining the high standard of service and operational excellence across these sites. The Director of Operations will be responsible for managing accounts with revenues ranging from $20 million to $35 million, and will play a key role in client relationship management at the leadership level. This includes working closely with service teams and clients to ensure adherence to contracts, overseeing financial and budgeting responsibilities, and implementing quality control measures.
In this capacity, the Director of Operations will conduct periodic action plans with each account, deliver training for new managers, and provide essential tools to improve service quality. The role demands a hands-on approach with a thorough knowledge of office operations to provide support or fill in as needed. The Director will also supervise the performance of direct reports, promote account growth by identifying new business opportunities, delegate and monitor project completion region-wide, and maintain accuracy in standard operating procedures. Client satisfaction management through regular surveys and direct interactions is a critical responsibility, including attending client functions to ensure continued client engagement and visibility.
Competencies essential for success in this role include strong analytical and problem-solving skills, project management expertise, customer service excellence, effective interpersonal and communication abilities, proven change management aptitude, skilled delegation, solid business acumen, cost consciousness, commitment to diversity, sound judgment, and a professional demeanor. The role demands a proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement and operational efficiency in a dynamic environment. Candidates must have demonstrated experience in operational management, particularly in high volume staffing environments, and be comfortable working within budgeting constraints while seeking cost-saving opportunities.
Overall, the Regional Director of Operations position offers a challenging and rewarding leadership opportunity within a growing organization that values strategic thinking, operational control, and exceptional service delivery. This role is ideal for a motivated leader looking to make a meaningful impact on client operations and contribute to the ongoing success of a premier Recruiting Process Outsourcing firm and its valued client portfolio.
