Job Requirements

  • Master degree in nursing or physician assistant studies
  • Valid NC RN and Nurse Midwife or Nurse Practitioner license or NC Physician Assistant license
  • Board certified or eligible within one year of hire
  • Current BLS certification
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Protocol certification for neonatal advanced practice providers
  • Behavioral health advance practice provider certification within 90 days of employment for applicable roles
  • Open to new graduates
  • Preferred experience of 3 or more years

Job Qualifications

  • Master degree in nursing or physician assistant studies
  • Board certification within one year of hire
  • Valid North Carolina RN and Nurse Midwife or Nurse Practitioner license or NC Physician Assistant license
  • Current BLS certification
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Protocol certification for neonatal providers
  • Behavioral Health Advance Practice Provider certification within 90 days of employment when applicable

Job Duties

  • Performs physical assessments of the patient
  • Reviews patient medical history
  • Interprets diagnostic tests and results
  • Conducts preventive health screenings
  • Educates patients and families about specialty care conditions and treatment
  • Maintains accurate patient care records
  • Performs specialty care medical procedures per departmental guidelines
  • Identifies and addresses clinical and system issues to improve specialty care
  • Performs other duties as assigned
