Job Description

Cone Health is a leading healthcare system based in Greensboro, North Carolina, known for its commitment to providing comprehensive and compassionate medical care to the community. As a well-established hospital system, Cone Health prioritizes innovation, patient-centered treatment, and clinical excellence, aiming to support the health and well-being of individuals across multiple specialties. Moses Cone Hospital, one of Cone Health's flagship facilities, serves as a hub for advanced inpatient and outpatient services, combining state-of-the-art technology with dedicated medical professionals to deliver exceptional care. The hospital is recognized for its collaborative work environment, ongoing professional development opportunities, and a mission to improve lives through high-quality healthcare services.

This role is for a specialty care provider at Moses Cone Hospital, offering a full-time equivalent (0.9 FTE) position requiring 36 hours per week. The work schedule is structured around three 12-hour shifts predominantly from Friday to Sunday or Saturday to Monday, without the requirement for on-call duties. This salaried, exempt position presents a unique opportunity for clinicians, including new graduates, to develop their skills while working within a supportive team environment focused on inpatient specialty care. The role involves performing comprehensive physical assessments, evaluating medical histories, and interpreting diagnostic results to implement effective treatment plans. In addition, the provider will conduct age-appropriate preventive health screenings and educate patients and their families about medical conditions, care procedures, and necessary follow-up.

The specialty care provider will also be responsible for maintaining meticulous patient records to ensure continuity of care and performing specialty care medical procedures adhering to departmental guidelines and clinical roles. A significant aspect of the position involves contributing to clinical improvements by assessing, problem-solving, and evaluating both medical and system-related issues within the inpatient setting. Clinicians in this role play a pivotal part in enhancing the quality of specialty care, ensuring patients receive timely and evidence-based interventions. The position is well-suited for individuals with a Master Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies and welcomes applicants with various levels of experience, including those new to the field. Licensure requirements stipulate valid credentials for NC RN Nurse Midwife, Nurse Practitioner, or NC Physician Assistant licenseholders with board certification within one year of hire, alongside relevant certifications such as BLS, NRP (for neonatal providers), and Behavioral Health certifications as applicable.

This is an excellent position for motivated healthcare professionals eager to join a dedicated team at Moses Cone Hospital, advance their clinical expertise, and contribute to a thriving healthcare community committed to patient-centered excellence and professional growth.
