Job Description
The hiring establishment is a dynamic and guest-focused hospitality company specializing in event management and catering services. Known for hosting memorable functions ranging from corporate meetings to social celebrations, this company prides itself on delivering impeccable service and attention to detail. With a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, the team works closely with clients to ensure every aspect of their event is executed flawlessly, from the menu selection to room setup and audiovisual arrangements. This establishment is dedicated to creating an outstanding guest experience through professional and personalized service.
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Event Support Staff member to join our team. The role involves reviewing Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to understand specific details about menus, room configurations, food and beverage requirements, and audiovisual needs to ensure accurate event setup and execution. The candidate will assist the setup staff by preparing tables, buffets, bars, and other necessary arrangements to meet event specifications. A critical aspect of this position includes checking the quality and presentation of food before serving, ensuring that each dish meets our high standards for guest satisfaction.
In addition to food preparation, the role requires preparing and serving beverages and providing prompt and professional service to all guests throughout the function. Effective communication with the kitchen staff is essential to stay updated on any event changes or special requests, promoting smooth operations. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in high-pressure environments, possess strong interpersonal skills, and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team dedicated to creating exceptional experiences for guests.
This is a flexible role that may require working varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to align with event demands. We seek candidates with a high work ethic, self-initiative, and the ability to remain calm and efficient in fast-paced situations. The role demands physical stamina as it involves prolonged periods of sitting and computer work in the office, along with occasional standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting items weighing 10-25 pounds. Candidates must have strong fine motor skills for tasks such as keyboarding and operating office equipment, as well as the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
We embrace diversity and inclusivity, providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities to enable them to perform essential job functions. This in-office role offers an excellent opportunity to be part of a passionate team committed to delivering outstanding service and memorable guest experiences in a supportive and engaging work environment.
