The Security Officer role at Universal Kids Resort is a vital position dedicated to maintaining the safety and security of guests, team members, company assets, and property throughout the entire resort. This includes the parking areas, the theme park, back-of-house locations, and hotel facilities. The role requires performing active surveillance through walking and motorized patrols, monitoring security cameras, managing access control points, and communicating swiftly with other parts of the organization via radio systems. Security Officers are responsible for responding effectively to incidents, assessing situations with good judgment, and preparing accurate written witness statements as part of incident documentation. They play a crucial role during emergencies by guiding guests and staff, enforcing resort-wide security policies, and preventing prohibited items from entering the property.

Security Officers also provide dispatch support for all UKR departments and coordinate with security leadership, external emergency services, and third-party vendors as needed. The position demands a strong commitment to occupational health and safety, following Universal’s established environmental, health, and safety protocols, while actively participating in team involvement activities. Candidates must be willing to work flexible schedules that meet business needs and adhere to the organization’s policies and legal regulations. The role requires essential certifications including a Level 2 Non-Commissioned Security License, Texas Driver's License, and the ability to administer CPR and First Aid with the proper use of an AED.
