The OB Tech position at ProHealth Care Birthing Center is a PRN (as-needed) role that requires the successful candidate to commit to 40 hours of availability within a 6-week schedule. This role is designed for a flexible individual capable of working various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends. This is not a seasonal or temporary posting; instead, it is an ongoing opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to obstetrical care in a tertiary 33-bed Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) center. ProHealth Care's LDRP center handles around 1,750 births annually and offers 24/7 multidisciplinary care to women and their families, prioritizing family-centered care that acknowledges the emotional, physical, and psychosocial needs of every patient.
The OB Tech will play a vital role in supporting registered nurses by performing critical scrubbing duties during surgical procedures such as cesarean sections, emergent hysterectomies, postpartum tubal ligations, dilation and curettage procedures, and double set-ups. The position requires preparing the operating and labor/delivery rooms with the appropriate equipment to meet stringent hospital policies and professional standards. This essential role provides hands-on support within the obstetrical setting, ensuring the surgical team operates smoothly and efficiently while upholding patient safety and comfort. The role offers a competitive salary, an engaging and community-focused work culture, and opportunities for career advancement. Employees at ProHealth Care enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, flexible insurance plans, health savings accounts (HSA), tuition reimbursement, immediate 401(k) matching, and access to discounted entertainment and social events. This position is ideal for individuals seeking to contribute meaningfully to maternity care and grow their professional skills within a supportive healthcare environment.
