  • Nurse Aide Certification required by State of North Carolina DHHR
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • No prior experience required

Job Duties

  • Assist patients with basic care including bathing shaving and taking vital signs
  • Provide meals and supplements to patients and notify the Registered Nurse of significant changes in patient condition
  • Help admit transfer and discharge patients to ensure prompt service and bed availability
  • Support the Registered Nurse by completing hourly rounding and responding to patient needs
  • Monitor inventory of supplies equipment and instruments and request materials as needed
  • Document charges and accommodation codes for accurate record keeping
  • Observe equipment and report maintenance and repairs
  • Perform receptionist duties including answering phone calls and greeting visitors
  • Perform other duties as assigned
