Job Requirements
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin or nurse licensure compact jurisdiction upon hire
- Basic Life Support BLS/CPR certification upon hire
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support ACLS certification within six months
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing BSN required for RN Nursing Educator
- Master’s degree in Nursing required for Nursing Education Specialist
- Three years of relevant nursing or clinical experience depending on title
- Must obtain Master’s degree in Nursing in relevant specialty within five years for RN Nursing Educator
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required for RN Nursing Educator
- Master’s degree in Nursing required for Nursing Education Specialist
- Master’s degree in Nursing Education preferred for Nursing Education Specialist
- Three years of relevant nursing experience required for RN Nursing Educator
- Previous nursing educator experience preferred for RN Nursing Educator
- Five years of relevant nursing experience preferred for RN Nursing Educator
- Experience in academic medical center preferred for RN Nursing Educator
- Three years of relevant clinical nursing experience required for Nursing Education Specialist
- Experience with position-specific patient population preferred for Nursing Education Specialist
- Experience providing orientation and education for nursing staff preferred for Nursing Education Specialist
- Licensed as Registered Nurse in Wisconsin or nurse licensure compact jurisdiction
- Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification upon hire
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months
- National certification in relevant specialty preferred
Job Duties
- Lead onboarding and professional development for experienced nursing staff in emergency and transport care
- Design, implement, and evaluate education programs including extended orientations and competency development
- Collaborate with CNSs, nurse leaders, and interprofessional teams to promote evidence-based practice and patient safety
- Support nursing practice in emergency, trauma, stroke, STEMI, ECPR, and critical care transport services
- Serve as clinical education resource and mentor and promote professional growth across teams
- Participate in organizational initiatives, shared governance, and system education efforts
- Provide expertise and resources in nursing education and emergency medicine nursing
