The Nursing Assistant (CNA, NA) role at UW Health is vital to supporting Registered Nurses across various units including General Care, Intermediate Care, Intensive Care Unit (ICU)/Critical Care, and Pediatrics. This position is flexible, offering part-time to full-time schedules ranging from 24 to 40 hours per week, including weekend and holiday assignments. Shift options are diverse, covering day, evening, night, and combined shifts to accommodate work-life balance. External hires may be eligible for a sign-on bonus, and compensation includes shift differentials and overtime opportunities.

As a Nursing Assistant, you will provide direct patient care by assisting with daily living activities such as repositioning, transferring, mobility, and intentional rounding. Strong interpersonal skills are essential as this role requires engaging with patients, their families, and visitors to cultivate trusting relationships and deliver compassionate, high-quality care. This role also adheres strictly to hospital policies and procedures while performing basic nursing treatments and supporting clinical teams.
