The Nurse Manager of CVOR Cardiovascular Surgery Operating Room is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing a high-acuity surgical service delivering complex cardiothoracic procedures. Reporting to the Director of Perioperative Services, the Nurse Manager collaborates closely with departments including Cardiothoracic Surgery, Anesthesiology, Perfusion, and other perioperative personnel. This position involves leadership and coordination of a diverse team comprising an Assistant Nurse Manager, clinical educators, charge RNs, service line coordinators, and experienced surgical scrub teams. Responsibilities include driving surgical throughput, managing staffing and budgets, ensuring regulatory compliance, coordinating SPD integration, fostering surgeon relations, and promoting evidence-based clinical practices.
