The role of Nurse Manager of Emergency Services at Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center offers a unique opportunity for nursing professionals to assume a leadership position within a dynamic, patient-focused environment. This position is a Monday through Friday role from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, overseeing operations not only at the main emergency department (ED) campus but also four freestanding ED locations. The Nurse Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient, and therapeutically effective care to patients in emergency settings. As an integral member of the Nursing Management Team, the Nurse Manager is responsible for monitoring and managing expense performance to ensure operational efficiency, promoting clinical initiatives, patient safety programs, and quality improvement activities.

This role demands collaboration with physicians and the management team to evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practices and services, striving to improve patient outcomes in a fast-paced emergency care environment. In addition to administrative responsibilities, the Nurse Manager may also perform clinical duties, including working as a Registered Nurse in roles such as House Supervisor, leveraging diverse nursing skills and knowledge of hospital and medical staff bylaws, rules, regulations, and policies. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate sound judgment, discretion, diplomacy, and maintain current competency in nursing standards of care and practice.
