The Nuclear Medicine PET/CT Technologist role at Intermountain Health is a clinic-based position located at the Warm Springs Cardiology clinic in Las Vegas, Nevada. This vital position operates within a fast-paced healthcare environment where the technologist performs advanced diagnostic imaging procedures using state-of-the-art PET/CT technology. Working closely with radiologists, physicians, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams, the technologist plays an essential role in facilitating accurate diagnosis and treatment planning for a wide range of medical conditions.

The role requires a unique blend of technical expertise and patient care skills, ensuring images are of the highest quality and patients feel supported throughout their imaging process. Responsibilities include performing Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT imaging exams, maintaining equipment, adhering to strict radiation safety and regulatory standards, and educating patients about the imaging procedures. The position supports molecular medicine accreditations across multiple sites and assists the physicist in Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) duties.

This 40-hour per week role typically follows a schedule of four 10-hour days from 6:30am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday, with weekends and all Intermountain observed holidays off. The hourly wage range is competitive, from $43.09 to $66.47, based on experience. Additionally, the position is eligible for a $2,500 sign-on bonus and offers relocation assistance if applicable.

The technologist will maintain certification and competencies such as ARRT or modality-specific clinical skills, and certifications in BLS and IV therapy are required. The work involves substantial patient interaction, requiring strong communication and compassionate support skills. The physical aspects of the job include the ability to handle delicate equipment, assist patients with mobility, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and stamina.
