Operating in more than 50 countries, GDIT is committed to advancing the technological capabilities of the US government and supporting national security objectives. The company's dynamic work environment fosters growth, innovation, and collaboration, making it a compelling place for professionals who are passionate about making a difference through technology.
The role of Cybersecurity Senior Manager - NSIPS Cybersecurity Manager at GDIT is a critical leadership position based in New Orleans, Louisiana, requiring onsite presence. This role involves managing a team of cybersecurity analysts and/or engineers who are responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing complex cybersecurity systems and processes. The Senior Manager must possess deep technical expertise in cybersecurity, with hands-on experience in tools such as Splunk and McAfee Endpoint Security (ESS). This position requires a Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship, underscoring the sensitive nature of the work and its direct impact on national defense.
As a Cybersecurity Senior Manager, you will oversee medium to large teams, often including other managers, and guide them in supporting Defensive Cyber Operations and Assessment and Authorization/ Risk Management Framework (A&A/RMF) teams. Your leadership ensures the protection and monitoring of networks and host-level systems through the use of key technologies such as Splunk for real-time data analytics and McAfee ESS for endpoint protection. Additionally, the role involves coordinating with teams that utilize tools like the Navy's eMASS authorization system for program compliance with NIST 800-53 security controls, and vulnerability management tools like Tenable Security Center.
This position plays a vital role not only in supporting ongoing cybersecurity operations but also in strategic planning, performance management, and system accreditation within the Navy's cyber infrastructure. You'll develop and implement strategic, technical, and operational security controls aligned with business and program goals, ensuring that cybersecurity practices meet stringent regulatory and compliance standards. Your expertise will contribute to continuous risk management efforts and help safeguard critical defense operations from cyber threats.
The salary range for this position is $147,900 to $200,100, with the exact compensation depending on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements. GDIT offers a comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k) plans with company match, paid time off, health and dental insurance, wellness programs, and a supportive, military-friendly workplace culture. The company emphasizes career growth and internal support, with AI-powered career tools and internal mobility teams dedicated to helping employees achieve their professional goals. Joining GDIT means becoming part of a mission-driven team that values innovation, diversity, and the security of the nation.
