The company fosters a supportive work environment that values diversity, inclusion, and career growth opportunities for its employees. With a focus on safety, professionalism, and community involvement, US Foods positions itself as an employer of choice in the industry.

The Non-CDL Delivery Driver role at US Foods offers individuals the opportunity to join a dynamic team where their contributions directly impact customer satisfaction and operational success. This role is a full-time position with a Monday through Saturday schedule, requiring work on Saturdays and providing two other days off weekly. The position pays an hourly wage of $30.61, with overtime compensation available. Benefits start from day one and include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, and more, reflecting the company's dedication to employee well-being.

In this delivery driver role, candidates will be responsible for loading and unloading products, ensuring deliveries to multiple stops are completed efficiently and accurately. Drivers will manage heavy lifting, often carrying weights up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Using hand trucks and maintaining proper product transport techniques, they will ensure that items reach their destinations safely, often navigating stairs and tight areas. Attention to detail is key, as drivers record delivery data using hand scanners, process returns and payments, and communicate any issues promptly to appropriate team members.

Safety and compliance are paramount. Drivers must conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, monitor refrigeration systems consistently to preserve food safety, and adhere to all safe handling protocols. The role requires physical stamina to manage climbing, bending, stooping, and other movements essential for loading and unloading products. Candidates should be committed to following defensive driving principles and have a clean driving record without recent serious offences or suspensions.

US Foods seeks motivated individuals with a minimum age of 21, a valid U.S. driver’s license, and the ability to pass DOT physical examinations and pre-employment background checks. While commercial driving experience is not mandatory, prior multi-stop delivery or foodservice experience is preferred. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills are essential as delivery drivers represent the company in external relationships with customers daily.
