The role available at Residence Inn by Marriott is a part-time, non-management position based at 1231 17th St, Miami Beach, Florida. It requires availability for overnight shifts, with a preference for weekend availability as well. This position is pivotal in maintaining smooth operational functions during the overnight hours when guest services and financial activities demand meticulous attention. The successful candidate will engage in a variety of end-of-day and overnight duties, including processing all payment types, managing room assignments, and performing financial audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards. The role also involves actively selling rooms without reservations based on availability, handling telephone switchboard operations, processing guest check-ins efficiently, and managing room key activations. In addition to financial tasks like balancing and securing the bank, this position ensures the cleanliness and organization of work areas, supports safety protocols by reporting incidents, and upholds company policies and guest service standards. Job Duties

  • Complete end-of-day activities including posting charges to accounts

  • process adjustment vouchers, paid-outs, correction vouchers, and miscellaneous charges
  • print contingency lists for emergency records
  • sell rooms/accommodations to walk-in guests based on availability
  • operate telephone switchboard station and process wake-up call requests
  • process all guest check-ins and assign rooms
  • activate or reissue room keys using electronic key machine
  • count bank at end of shift and secure bank
  • balance and drop receipts according to accounting specifications
  • set up, stock, and maintain work areas
  • inspect cleanliness and presentation of materials
  • report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager
  • follow company policies and maintain professional appearance
  • maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • protect company assets
  • welcome and acknowledge guests according to standards
