The Night Auditor’s primary responsibility is to complete end-of-day audit activities which include posting charges to guest accounts, running night audit backups, and rolling the date to the next day. The individual in this position processes all forms of payment including room charges, cash, checks, debit, and credit transactions, and handles adjustments such as vouchers and paid-outs. Additionally, this role requires selling accommodations to walk-in guests based on availability and operating the telephone switchboard for guest requests like wake-up calls and message notifications.

The Night Auditor also prepares reports, balances and secures the bank at the end of the shift, and maintains work areas to ensure cleanliness and readiness. Job Requirements

- less than 1-year related work experience
- availability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays
- ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period
- ability to lift, bend, and move objects up to 25 pounds
- follow company policies and procedures

Job Duties
- complete end-of-day activities including posting charges to accounts
- run night audit backup and roll the date
- process all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit
- process adjustment vouchers, paid-outs, correction vouchers, and miscellaneous charges
- print contingency lists to have a record of all guests in case of emergency
- sell rooms/accommodations to guests without reservations based on availability
- operate telephone switchboard station, process requests for wake-up calls, and advise guests of any messages
