Job Description
The hiring establishment is a hospitality company operating in the hotel sector, specializing in delivering excellent guest services around the clock. As a well-regarded hotel, it offers a variety of accommodations and amenities to ensure guests have a comfortable and memorable stay. This company prides itself on maintaining high standards of customer service, operational efficiency, and a welcoming environment for both guests and employees. Operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the hotel ensures that all associates are flexible and ready to meet the dynamic needs of the business and its patrons.
The role available is for a Night Auditor, a crucial position responsible for running all overnight duties at the hotel’s Front Desk. The Night Auditor acts as the evening's key point of contact, ensuring smooth operations during the quieter hours while maintaining the highest level of guest hospitality. This position involves completing the Night Audit procedures, which include balancing financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing night shift reports using the Fosse system. The Night Auditor is expected to demonstrate aggressive hospitality skills, engaging with guests through warm greetings, attentive listening, and anticipatory service that meets and exceeds guest expectations.
This role demands a proactive approach to guest relations, including the use of guests’ names, showing genuine interest in their needs, and taking ownership to resolve any issues promptly. The Night Auditor is also responsible for stocking the lobby Market daily and ensuring that all front desk equipment functions correctly, reporting any failures immediately to management. An understanding of the day-to-day room selling strategy, current promotions such as Marriott Rewards, and hotel packages is essential, enabling the Night Auditor to provide informed assistance to guests. Maintaining a neat appearance and proper uniform is also important to uphold the company’s professional standards.
The Night Auditor will effectively communicate with the following shift manager or supervisor, passing on all pertinent information about the desk or related areas to ensure continuity of service. Flexibility in working hours is expected, as the hotel operates continuously, and shift adjustments may be necessary according to business demands and weather conditions. This role requires a dedication to maintaining guest hospitality at all times and a willingness to comply with reasonable requests from management, enhancing the overall guest experience and operational efficiency throughout the overnight shift.
