Job Description

HHM Hotels is a well-established hospitality company known for delivering exceptional guest experiences across its diverse portfolio of properties. As a leading name in the hotel industry, HHM Hotels is committed to excellence, employee growth, and guest satisfaction. The company prides itself on fostering a dynamic and supportive work environment that encourages professional development and a culture of excellence. With a strong focus on providing outstanding service, HHM Hotels has earned a reputation for quality accommodations, attentive guest service, and operational efficiency.

The Night Auditor role at HHM Hotels is a critical position that combines guest service and financial responsibilities to ensure smooth nightly operations. This role is designed for professionals who are detail-oriented, possess strong financial acumen, and are passionate about maintaining the highest standards of guest satisfaction. As part of the front office team, the Night Auditor balances revenue and settles accounts nightly, performs comprehensive audits, and resets systems for the next day. This position also requires engaging with guests, addressing inquiries, and resolving concerns, thereby directly influencing the guest experience.

In addition to balancing and auditing financial records, the Night Auditor is responsible for maintaining accurate files and records of room availability and guest accounts. The role involves preparing and distributing daily financial and operational reports, auditing and reconciling cashiers, and processing credit card transactions through timely consolidation and transmission. The Night Auditor inputs and updates financial data into the BRAINS network, ensuring data integrity and compliance with company policies.

This position offers a clear growth path within the company, starting from the Night Auditor role and potentially advancing to roles such as Front Office Supervisor, Accounts Payable or Receivable Clerk, and eventually Front Office Manager. The Night Auditor’s duties encompass both accounting and guest service tasks, including checking guests in and out and performing typical Guest Service Agent responsibilities.

HHM Hotels values a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently during overnight hours. The ideal candidate possesses computer skills, especially proficiency in Excel, and has previous experience related to night auditing or accounting. Meeting safety standards by practicing safe work habits and wearing protective equipment is also part of the job requirements. The company supports continuous learning and requires Food Safety Director (FSD) certification within 90 days as a plus.

Overall, this role is essential to maintaining the financial accuracy and operational success of HHM Hotels while ensuring all guests receive the highest level of service during their stay. Candidates who thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy balancing financial details with customer interaction, and are looking for career advancement in the hospitality industry will find this opportunity rewarding and challenging.
