We are currently seeking an exceptional National Sales Manager to join our dedicated team. This role is pivotal in shaping the future success of Hotel Polaris by creating, sustaining, and strengthening relationships with prospective customers, influencers, and strategic partners. The National Sales Manager will enthusiastically represent the hotel brand and its associates, supporting both financial and cultural expectations with the utmost integrity. This position involves innovating and identifying new contacts, developing sales leads through various channels, and maintaining expert-level knowledge of the hotel’s amenities and services to offer authentic and distinctively different experiences.
The ideal candidate will be a master organizer and proactive professional who can anticipate guest needs and provide prompt, effective responses. Responsibilities include generating proposals, writing contracts, managing customer correspondence, and maintaining accurate records of sales activities. The role demands a market-savvy individual with a comprehensive understanding of competitor strengths and economic trends to strategically position Hotel Polaris against its competition. Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience in sales within a team-oriented environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency with property management systems and sales software
- Ability to create and analyze reports
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Commitment to completing administrative duties accurately and timely
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years experience in sales within a team-oriented environment
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Excellent listening and verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to use PMS, Delphi, and other technical and managerial applications
- Proven track record of closing sales and finding new business
- Ability to confidently and warmly represent a brand and property
- Understanding of luxury service standards and guest experience expectations
Job Duties
- Create, sustain, and strengthen relationships with prospective customers, influencers and strategic partners
- Enthusiastically represent the property brand and the associates that bring it to life
- Support the financial and cultural expectations of the property with integrity
- Exhibit the ability to introduce existing relationships to the property
- Innovate, identify, and enthusiastically create new contacts and develop sales leads through phone solicitation, sales calls, trade shows, etc.
- Be the Keeper of the Culture by responding to sales inquiries and contacting potential clients to build and nurture lasting relationships
- Be a Market Pro, understanding competitor strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand, and strategically sell against our competition
- Maintain expert-level knowledge or the hotel amenities, venues, and options, and provide recommendations to create authentic and distinctively different experiences for our groups
- Have your eye on the ball and anticipate our guests' needs with prompt responses
- Create, execute, and support the operational aspects of business booked, such as generating proposals, writing contracts, and corresponding with customers
- Be a Master Organizer and maintain timely and accurate recordings of activity of appointments, calls made, and business leads
- Be empowered to take initiative to go beyond the ordinary and differentiate us from the competition, and create loyalty and excitement
