Mission Yogurt, Inc. operates three distinct and popular food outlets at the Denver International Airport: The Bindery, Uncle Ramen, and Maria Empanada. Together, these establishments deliver a diverse culinary portfolio that caters to a wide range of tastes and preferences. The Multi-Unit Executive Sous Chef will take a pivotal leadership role overseeing the day-to-day kitchen operations across all three venues, ensuring that every dish served meets the company's exacting standards in taste, presentation, and consistency.
This position involves managing multiple kitchen teams, fostering an atmosphere of professionalism, teamwork, and continuous improvement. The Multi-Unit Executive Sous Chef will be responsible for staff development, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations, helping to build a motivated and skilled culinary workforce. A key component of success in this role is the commitment to maintaining stringent food safety and sanitation practices, complying with health inspections, and upholding all internal operational guidelines.
The role also entails inventory management, labor cost control, and resourceful problem-solving to tackle any operational challenges swiftly and effectively. Candidates must be capable of coordinating a fast-paced, demanding kitchen environment while maintaining a calm, organized, and positive demeanor. The ability to deliver superior food and beverage service in a high-traffic location such as an airport is essential.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of back-of-house restaurant management experience, preferably within airport food service environments, and prior Sous Chef experience in full-service, high-volume restaurants. Background checks compliant with TSA regulations are mandatory for this position.

- Ability to pass a 10-year background check per TSA guidelines
- Must be able to work on feet for up to 12 hours

Job Qualifications
- At least two years of back-of-house restaurant management experience
- Prior experience at an airport preferred

Job Duties
- Help in the preparation and design of all food and drinks menus
- Produce high-quality plates in both presentation and taste
- Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards
- Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation
- Manage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedule and assess staff's performance
- Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately
- Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards, including health inspections
