The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist role at UF Health Shands involves performing MRI procedures essential for diagnosis and treatment within a fast-paced clinical environment. The MRI Technologist is expected to carry out duties within the full scope of their licensure and skills, contributing to the quality and efficiency of radiologic services offered at UF Health. Schedules are varied, offering flexibility across different shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and overnight, accommodating diverse work-life needs. Ideal candidates will have completed an accredited MRI program, hold or be eligible for advanced MRI certification, and possess prior experience in MRI or radiology departments. Certified technologists will be required to maintain and update their credentials, including passing the ARRT or ARMRIT MRI certification examination within one year of employment, and maintaining current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Job Requirements
- Prefer experienced MRI technologists
- prefer completion of an accredited MRI program
- registry eligible for MRI certification
- one year of experience within the Radiology or MRI department preferred
- knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy a plus
- pass ARRT or ARMRIT advanced MRI certification within one year of employment
- current BLS certification
- will not operate vehicles for assigned business purposes
Job Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited MRI program

- at least one year of experience in radiology or MRI department preferred
