As a community-centered utility, CPS Energy prioritizes innovation, safety, and operational excellence, ensuring its services meet modern energy demands through state-of-the-art technology and a culture of continuous improvement.

The available position in the Power Generation division at the Calaveras location in San Antonio, TX, offers a pivotal role within the company's maintenance and reliability team. Classified under pay grade 18, this full-time role is centered around program development, continuous improvement, and the implementation of a comprehensive work planning and process control program. The incumbent will oversee the planning and scheduling of routine and outage maintenance activities, managing resources across contracted and organizational maintenance staff. Candidates will be responsible for utilizing advanced industry tools like SAP Maintenance Management and Primavera Project Planner for creating work products and maintaining system integrations including the PaSTA work management system. An integral aspect of this position is fostering strong communication and collaboration between plant foremen, supervisors, operations managers, and other stakeholders to ensure maintenance operations align with safety standards and organizational objectives. The role also involves developing training materials, procedural documents, and conducting performance evaluations of team members within the maintenance planning group. Additionally, the position assists with budget planning and contract management for work management support activities, ensuring efficient use of resources.

Ideal applicants will have mid-level experience as a Maintenance Planning Coordinator specifically within the Power Generation industry. Expertise in scheduling and planning techniques for complex projects such as outages and shutdowns is essential, along with in-depth knowledge of SAP Maintenance Management System functionality and configuration. Familiarity with power plant operations, OSHA safety standards, equipment clearance, and confined space entry procedures is critical to success in this role. A working knowledge of Human Resources policies complements the technical aspects of the position. The company encourages further professional development and supports employees in advancing their skills through ongoing training and engagement with cutting-edge maintenance management software and methodologies. This role provides a significant opportunity to contribute to the operational excellence of CPS Energy's power generation facilities while advancing one’s career in a stable and supportive environment dedicated to community service and sustainable energy solutions.
