The role is designed to handle variable job functions and roles within the restaurant, with a focus on mid-shift schedules and up to 20 hours per week. This flexibility allows the team member to gain extensive knowledge and experience across both front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) positions. Certification in all FOH roles is expected, along with certification in all BOH roles within three months of promotion to a key hourly position. This training enhances the individual's expertise and empowers them to contribute effectively to the restaurant's ownership mentality.

In addition to daily operational responsibilities, the position includes additional developmental projects and accountabilities to foster professional growth. The restaurant expects a professional approach to problem-solving, dependability, honesty, dedication, and maturity. Communication skills play a vital role in this position, ensuring clear and effective interaction with guests and team members.

The candidate must successfully complete various certifications and assessments, including ServSafe or another California-approved food safety certification, anti-harassment training in compliance with California law (AB1825), and a company-specific assessment called the Batrus-Hollweg. A background check and approvals from Area Director and Vice President of Operations are also mandatory, reflecting the organization's commitment to a safe, ethical, and high-performing workplace.
