Job Description

Barnes & Noble is the leading book retailer in the United States, founded in 1873 with a rich history of innovation and growth. The company operates approximately 700 bookstores nationwide under the leadership of CEO James Daunt and private ownership by Elliott Advisors. Barnes & Noble serves over 700 communities across all 50 states and has a strong digital presence through its e-commerce site BN.com, as well as its NOOK eBooks and audiobooks platforms. Dalton, which complement and expand its reach within the book retail industry. Recently, Barnes & Noble has been undergoing a revitalization phase with renewed momentum, including the planned opening of around 60 new stores in 2026, highlighting a strong commitment to physical retail and local bookselling. By combining an extensive store network, curated book selections, enriched in-store experiences, and growing omnichannel capabilities, Barnes & Noble has secured its position as the number one bookseller in the U.S. and remains a trusted partner in the publishing and retail ecosystems.
