Job Description

Laurel Oaks Behavioral Health Center is a specialized facility dedicated to providing high-quality, acute psychiatric hospitalization and intensive residential treatment tailored for children and adolescents aged 4 to 18. The center focuses on delivering comprehensive mental health services that cater specifically to young populations with complex psychiatric needs. These specialized services include trauma-informed care, behavioral therapy, and support mechanisms designed to address a variety of psychiatric challenges faced by youth. Located within the broader network of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), Laurel Oaks benefits from the extensive resources, expertise, and management practices of one of the nation’s largest and most respected health care management companies. UHS operates through its subsidiaries, which include acute care hospitals, behavioral health facilities, and ambulatory centers scattered across the United States. Established in 1978, UHS has grown to employ over 90,000 professionals dedicated to delivering compassionate and effective healthcare services.

The role of Manager of Behavioral Health Services at Laurel Oaks Behavioral Health Center is a leadership position that plays a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care during the evening shift, from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. This position requires the candidate to oversee clinical operations, manage and supervise multidisciplinary teams, and maintain high standards of care and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in behavioral health, including experience in crisis management and working with diverse pediatric populations, especially those with developmental disabilities. This role demands a leader who can balance administrative responsibilities with hands-on involvement in patient care and team guidance, fostering a therapeutic environment that aligns with the facility’s mission of compassionate, trauma-informed, and evidence-based treatment approaches.

The Manager of Behavioral Health Services will be responsible for ensuring that the clinical staff is supported, trained, and operating in compliance with established policies and regulations. They will oversee crisis intervention protocols, coordinate with healthcare providers, and contribute to program development and quality improvement initiatives. By effectively managing resources and staff, the manager ensures that patient care objectives are met while promoting a collaborative and positive work environment. This position offers an annual salary range of $55,000 to $80,000 and provides various benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plans with matching contributions, tuition reimbursement, and paid time off. The role is based on-site and offers an opportunity to impact the lives of children and adolescents struggling with mental health challenges within the supportive framework of a nationally recognized healthcare organization.
