The Store Team Member position at Total Wine & More, also referred to internally as Merchandiser, is central to the company's brand reputation and operational success. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about customer service and merchandising and are eager to contribute to a vibrant retail environment. Both part-time and full-time positions are available, focusing primarily on merchandising duties but also encompassing various sales and front-end responsibilities as needed. Store Team Members are an integral part of the store management structure, reporting directly to the management team.

In this role, team members will be responsible for maximizing product inventory by processing freight, organizing and distributing stock, pulling and stocking merchandise, constructing visually appealing displays and end caps, and placing signage throughout the store. Additionally, team members support the digital business by fulfilling online orders and assisting with in-store and curbside pick-up and delivery services, which may include driving and making deliveries if assigned. The position demands a high level of customer interaction; team members must deliver exceptional service by greeting customers warmly, engaging to build relationships, and providing knowledgeable information about products and services.

Ongoing education is a critical element of the role, with team members participating in wine, spirits, and beer training sessions to enhance their product expertise. They are also expected to maintain awareness of current promotions, advertisements, and loyalty programs to effectively communicate these to customers. Store safety, cleanliness, and adherence to all relevant laws and regulations related to the sale of alcohol are paramount. Team members uphold these standards to maintain a safe and compliant store environment.

This position requires the physical ability to handle various tasks, including standing for extended periods, lifting and moving cases and pallets, climbing ladders, and working in different weather conditions if delivery duties are part of the role. A flexible schedule is necessary, with availability during evenings and weekends. Candidates must be at least 21 years old to comply with legal requirements for working in an environment that sells alcohol.
